Revised toolboard templates

Situation: 

New toolboard templates are due to be introduced to the dealer organisation as of April
1997. On these new templates, the tools are arranged in accordance with space
requirements instead of by design groups as in the past.

When tools are arranged by construction groups, ongoing additions render the tool
templates increasingly complicated. New tools, when added, are difficult to accommodate
or are not easily found unless the entire template is revised.

The new tool templates are divided into fields arranged by the system of coordinates.

The advantages of the new toolboard templates are as follows:

Tools can be found quickly and easily

No problems positioning tools on the toolboard as and when they are introduced

The templates are supplemented by a list of special tools in a pivot-panel index showing the
relationship between the special-tool number and the position of the special tool on the
toolboard. Positioning of special tools is due to be implemented in the TIS in the near
future.

Please refer to Enclosure 2.

Tools that are rarely required, i.e. tools for older models, are no longer placed on the
toolboards. These tools can be accommodated on a separate toolboard, order number
00 0 130, outside the "tool cabinet".

Procedure:

Toolboard templates 00 0 012, 00 0 022, 00 0 032, 00 0 042, and 00 0 062 and
pivot-panel index 00 0 080 will be supplied to dealers in a campaign.

Toolboard VI with template, order number 00 0 130, will be supplied as a stock tool to
order only.
