Replacing preheating valve (M67)
Caution!
Switch off ignition.
Catch and dispose of escaping fuel.
After work has been completed, the fuel system must be vented
between the tank and the high-pressure pump!
If the feed line to the high-pressure pump is not vented after work
has been completed, this may result in the pump running dry and
being damaged.
To vent high-pressure pump:
1.
Detach feed line on H.P. pump.
2.
Switch on ignition.
3.
Wait for bubble-free fuel to emerge.
4.
Switch off ignition.
5.
Fit feed line with a new clamp.
Note:
Valve is located in engine compartment next to left cylinder
head.
Release clamps (1).
Release fast release coupling (2).
Remove preheating valve (3).
Note:
Replace sealing ring on quick-release coupling (2) in event of
damage.
Installation:
Replace hose clamps (1).
