Removal & Installation Procedure

Passenger Seat Belt Side Buckle Pretensioner

Description

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement in Seats.

2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the seat belt buckle and pretensioner.

3. Remove the bolt from the passenger seat belt buckle and pretensioner.

4. Remove the passenger seat belt buckle and the pretensioner.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the passenger seat belt buckle and pretensioner.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precations.

2. Install the bolt to the passenger seat belt buckle and pretensioner.

Tighten

Tighten the driver and/or passenger seat belt buckle and pretensioner bolt to 35 N.m (26 lb. ft).

3. Install the electrical connector to the seat belt buckle pretensioner.

4. Install the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement in Seats.
