Rear Door Window Motor: Service and Repair
Window Regulator Motor Replacement - Rear Door
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer toTrim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door See: Rear Door Panel/Service and Repair
2. Remove the water deflector. Refer toWater Deflector Replacement - Rear Door (See: Rear Door Panel/Service and Repair) .
Important: There is a binding effect on the power window motor drive when the window is in the fully closed or open position.
3. Partially open the window, if possible.
4. Remove the window regulator. Refer toWindow Regulator Replacement - Rear Door (See: Rear Door Window Regulator/Service and Repair) .
5. Remove the screws securing the power window motor to the window regulator.
6. Twist the power window motor clockwise to remove the motor from the regulator.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the power window motor to the window regulator.
2. Twist the power window motor counterclockwise to align the screw holes.
Notice: Refer toFastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
3. Install the power window motor to regulator screws.
Tighten the power window motor screws to 4 Nm (35 lb in).
