Parking Brake Indicator Switch Replacement (LHD)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the left sound insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side (Left Hand Drive)  (See: Body and

Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair)Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side
(Right Hand Drive)  (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair) .

2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the park brake warning lamp switch.
3. Remove the park brake warning lamp switch retaining bolt.
4. Remove the park brake warning lamp switch.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the park brake warning lamp switch to the park brake lever assembly. Align the locator pin to the locator hole.

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice  (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the park brake switch retaining bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

3. Connect the park brake warning lamp electrical connector to the park brake warning lamp switch.
4. Install the left sound insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side (Left Hand Drive)  (See: Body and

Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair)Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side
