9. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging  (See: Service and Repair/Refrigerant Recovery and

Recharging) .

10. Leak test the fittings of the component using J 39400-A  .

J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector

Removal Procedure

1. Recover the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging  (See: Service and Repair/Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging) .

2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle  (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the engine exhaust. Refer to Exhaust System Replacement  (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Exhaust System/Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the auxiliary rear liquid line nut from the auxiliary evaporator.
5. Disconnect the auxiliary rear liquid line from the auxiliary evaporator.
