C 2500 Truck 2WD V8-5.7L VIN R (1997)
9. Install the camshaft sprocket and timing chain.
10. Install the camshaft sprocket bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).
NOTE: Replace all valve lifters change the engine oil and filter, and add Engine Oil Supplement GM P/N 1051396 or the equivalent when a new
camshaft is installed.
11. Install the valve lifter and pushrods.
12. Adjust the valves.
13. Install the intake manifold.
14. Install the front cover.
15. Install the valve rocker arm covers.
16. Install the radiator. Refer to Cooling System.
17. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Powertrain Management.
18. Connect the battery negative cable assembly to the battery negative terminal.

Tighten the bolt to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
19. Fill the cooling system with the proper quantity and grade of coolant. Refer to Cooling System.
