6. Working under the instrument panel, align the match marks (4) and connect the intermediate steering shaft (3) to the steering column shaft (1).
7. Apply thread locking adhesive to the upper intermediate steering shaft bolt (2). Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (See: Steering
Column/Specifications/Fluid Type Specifications).
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
8. Install the upper intermediate steering shaft bolt and tighten to 36 Nm (26.5 lb ft).
