C. Stake lock washer over each tie rod ball nut.

8. Steering gear boots to right and left tie rod/rack junctions:

A. Apply manual steering gear lubricant to the inside of the outer end of each boots.
B. Position boots on grooves of the steering gear housing and secure with new wires (wrap wire around boot twice and twist ends together the

twisted ends should be aligned in the same direction as the wrapped wire so as not to damage the boot).

C. Install the outer boot clamp.
