Release Cable Replacement: Rear Compartment Lid - Installation Procedure

6. Install the rear compartment lid lock release cable to the fuel/rear compartment release handle housing. Secure the housing with the bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the handle housing bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

7. Reposition the floor panel carpet to its original position.
8. Install the floor carpet retainers (1) to the left front and rear door sill pinch flange.
9. Install the left front seat belt (1) lower anchor bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the front seat belt lower anchor bolt to 42 N.m (31 lb in).

10. Install the left rear seat back trim panel to the vehicle, if equipped with folding seats. Secure the panel with the plastic retainers.
11. Install the full width or the left folding seat back cushion.

12. Slide the rear seat cushion (1) into position. Ensure that the seat belt buckles are not covered.
13. Engage the rear seat cushion front retaining clips (2).
14. Remove the left center pillar lower trim panel.
15. Install the left front and rear side door sill trim plates.
16. Install the left body hinge pillar trim panel.
17. Install the left front seat.
