7. Remove the gearshift control lever from the gearshift lever case. Push down on the gearshift control lever pivot and turn counterclockwise 90° (1/4
turn) and lift up.
8. Inspect the gearshift control lever (1) for distortion or damage. Replace the gearshift if necessary.
9. Inspect the gearshift control lever spring for distortion or damage. Replace the gearshift control lever spring.
10. Inspect the gearshift lever case boot (5) for tears or damage. Replace the gearshift lever case boot (5) if necessary.
