Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair
Crossover Pipe Exhaust Manifold

REMOVAL

1. Remove the bolts and nuts attaching the crossover pipe the manifolds (Fig. 144).
2. Remove the crossover pipe and gaskets. Discard the gaskets.

INSTALLATION

1. Position new gasket on left exhaust manifold.
2. Position cross-over pipe to the manifold connections.
3. Position new gasket on right exhaust manifold and install the bolts. Tighten bolts to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)
4. Install and tighten nuts to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). (Fig. 144)
5. Install coolant recovery container.
