passengers side between the isolator and the engine bracket (Refer to Figure 7).

NOTE:

IT MAY NECESSARY TO LENGTHEN THE SLOTS IN THE FRONT MOUNT ISOLATOR BY 0.1 in. (2 mm) TO ACHIEVE PROPER
CLEARANCE. THE SLOTS CAN BE LENGTHENED, IF NECESSARY, BY USING A RAT TAIL FILE.

Torque the screw and 2 nuts attaching the front engine mount isolator to the lower front crossmember to 40 ft.lbs. (54 N-m).

If driveshaft length adjustment was required, torque the left engine mount through bolt to 55 ft.lbs. (75 N-m) and recheck driveshaft lengths.

Apply touch up paint to any bare metal spots.

Repair Procedure 2

This procedure corrects Symptom/Condition 3 by replacing the front engine mount isolator.

1.

Support the engine and transmission assembly with a floor jack so it will not rotate when the mount is disconnected from the lower front
crossmember.

2.

Remove the screw and 2 nuts attaching the front engine mount insulator to the lower front crossmember.

3.

Remove the through bolt attaching the front engine mount insulator to the front engine bracket and discard the insulator.

4.

Select the appropriate front engine mount insulator from the Parts Required section of this bulletin. Install the through bolt attaching the front
engine mount insulator to the front engine bracket. Torque the through bolt to 50 ft. lbs. (68 Nm). Position the replacement front engine mount
isolator to achieve a minimum clearance of 0.3 in. (7 mm) on the drivers side and 0.5 in. (12 mm) on the passengers side between the isolator and
the engine bracket (Refer to Figure 7).

NOTE:

IT MAY NECESSARY TO LENGTHEN THE SLOTS IN THE FRONT MOUNT ISOLATOR BY 0.08 in. (2 mm) TO ACHIEVE PROPER
CLEARANCE. THE SLOTS CAN BE LENGTHENED, IF NECESSARY, BY USING A RAT TAIL FILE.

5.

Torque the screw and 2 nuts attaching the front engine mount isolator to the lower front crossmember to 40 ft.lbs. (54 N-m).
