Remove the metal insert from the mounting grommet on the left side (driver side) of the bracket (Figure 2).

Install protective cap (p/n 55077081AA) over the left side (driver side) purge solenoid mounting stud.
4.
Remove the solenoid and U-shaped bracket from the bracket assembly attached to the cowl panel. Then, flip the U-shaped bracket over and
re-install the bracket to the purge solenoid and solenoid mounting bracket as shown in Figure 3.
