RAM 4500 Chassis Cab Truck 4WD L6-6.7L DSL Turbo (2011)
1. Replace the DEF engine coolant control valve. Refer to the procedures outlined in DealerCONNECT > TechCONNECT > Service info > 25 -
Emissions Control > Diesel Exhaust fluid Emissions, 6.7L Diesel > VALVE, Diesel Exhaust Fluid Engine Coolant Control > Removal/Installation.
2. Is the vehicle UNSOLD?
a. YES - Repair is complete
b. NO - Perform Step # 3.
3. Did the PCM have DTC P205B stored/active in it's memory?
a. YES - Perform Step # 4
b. NO - Repair is complete.
4. The DEF tank must be less than 1/2 tank full (40% or less on the EVIC) to proceed. If the DEF tank is over 1/2 tank full, remove and dispose enough
DEF to ensure that the tank is less than half full.
5. Fill the DEF tank with at least four (4) gallons of DEF (p/n 68035704AA).
