Check the stroke identification number on the top of the idle rpm adjusting screw on the removed solekicker (it will be stamped "4" or "55")
(Figure 2).
Select and install the replacement solekicker package having the corresponding stroke number ("4" or "55") on the top of the solekicker rpm
adjusting screw.

Remove and save the wire guide loop from carburetor and nylon solekicker vacuum line. Cut tie wraps and remove protective convoluted tubing
from carburetor wiring (Figure 3).

Remove the violet colored throttle ground wire (N3 circuit) from the carburetor connector.
