1.2 8v

Removing

1. Fit the flywheel lock (1a) and secure to the crankcase by means of the bolt and spacer (1b).

2. Undo the fixing bolts (2a) and remove the clutch (2b).

Refitting

1. Fit the clutch assembly in its seat and use the tool to locate the clutch in relation to the crankshaft.

2. Tighten the clutch bolts.

Remove the tools fitted previously.

1.6 16v

Removing

1. Fit the flywheel lock.

2. Undo the bolts (2a) and remove the pressure plate (2b) and the clutch plate (2c).

Refitting

1. Replace pressure plate complete with clutch plate (1a) using tool (1b) and secure by tightening bolts (1c) to the specified torque.

Remove the flywheel lock.

Remove the clutch locating tool.

1.3 JTD 16V, 1.9 DIESEL

Removing

Insert the flywheel retainer and secure to the crankcase.

1. Undo the retaining bolts (1a) and remove clutch (1b).

Refitting

1. Fit the clutch assembly in its seat and use the tool to locate the clutch in relation to the crankshaft.

2. Tighten the clutch bolts.

Remove the tools fitted previously.

1.9 JTD 8V

Removing

1. Fit the flywheel lock.

2. Undo the bolts (2a) and remove the clutch cover (2b) complete with clutch disc.

Refitting

1. Place the clutch cover (1a), complete with clutch disc back in its using using the tool (1b) to position it correctly.

2. Tighten the bolts fixing the clutch cover to the recommended torque.

Remove the tool used for positioning the clutch correctly.

Remove the flywheel lock.

1.4 8v · from 12/03 · MY 2005

Removing

1. Fit the flywheel lock.

2. Undo the bolts (2a) and remove the clutch mechanism and the plate (2b).

The bolts are pre-treated with sealant and therefore they should be replaced each time they are refitted.

Refitting

Place the clutch mechanism complete with plate in its housing and secure it by tightening the new bolts to the recommended torque.
