ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations.

1. Removing

ESSENTIAL : Respect the safety and cleanliness recommendations that are specific to high pressure diesel injection (HDi) engines.

Place the vehicle on a 2-post lift.

Disconnect the battery.

Remove :

• The oxygen sensor (From above the vehicle)
• The exhaust front flexible pipe (From below the vehicle)

Remove : The heat shield lower bolt (2).

Slightly move aside : The heat shield (1).

Remove :

• The exhaust clip (3)
• The pre-catalyst (5) retaining bolt (4)

Unplug : The vaporiser (6) (at "b").

Uncouple : The fuel pipe (at "a").

Remove the pre-catalytic converter (5).
