3. Check

Position :

• The tool [0198-N2] on the casing
• The tool [0198-N1] on the crankshaft
• The [0198-N3] bolt

N.B. : If the screws of the tool [0198-N2] do not position themselves correctly with the tool [0198-N2]; Slightly move the crankshaft so that the tools line up.

If pegging is impossible, 2 solutions :

• Check the wear on the timing chain and chain guides
• Check that the tightening of the camshaft pulley bolts is correct

Replace the faulty parts if necessary.

3. Check

CAUTION : Just prior to refitting, carry out the checks below.

Check the condition of the timing chain.
Check the condition of the chain guides.
Check the condition of the chain tensioner.

4. Refitting

CAUTION : Adhere to the tightening torques.

Tightening torques :

• Engine
