Tilt the brake caliper (3).

Remove :

• The brake pads (4)
• The springs (5)

Push the pistons back; Using FACOM D60A pliers.

CAUTION : Check the brake fluid level.

3. Cleaning

ESSENTIAL : Do not use compressed air to clean the brakes.

3.1. 1st possibility

Clean the brake disc and caliper (3); With a recommended brake cleaning product.

Allow to dry and to drain.

Wipe; Using a paper cloth.

3.2. 2nd possibility

Use an approved dedusting instrument (see tools and equipment catalogue).

Visually check :

• Around the pistons for leak
• That the protective gaiters are in good condition and correctly adjusted
• The disc for wear

Check the sliding of the brake caliper studs (3).

4. Refitting

CAUTION : Adhere to the tightening torques [i icon].

Check the condition of the stud gaiters.

Refit :

• The springs (5)
• The brake pads (4)

Fold back the brake caliper (3).

Refit : The new stud (2) (Pre-coated with a thread-locking product).

Tighten : The pillar screw (2).

Replace the rubber protector (at "b").

Connect the electric harness (1) (Brake pads worn warning light) (at "a").

CAUTION : Apply the brakes, with the engine running, several times before driving the vehicle.

Check the operation of the brakes.

Check the brake fluid level and top up if necessary.

Fit the wheels.

Return the vehicle to its wheels.

Tighten the wheel bolts [i icon].
