Remove the nuts (4).

Remove the engine management ECU (1) from its mounting (3).

3. Refitting

Refit the engine ECU (1) on its support (3).

Refit :

• The nuts (4)
• The engine management ECU (1) (With its mounting)
• The 3 bolts (4)

Connect the connectors (at "a").

Reconnect the battery.

CAUTION : Perform the operations to be carried out following reconnection of the battery.

4. Operations to be performed : After replacing the engine management ECU

CAUTION : Always carry out the following operations after replacing an ECU.

CAUTION : Swapping an engine management ECU between two vehicles means that it will be impossible to start the vehicles.

When changing an engine management ECU, it is necessary to carry out using the diagnostic tool the procedure for the replacement of an engine management ECU from the "replacement parts" menu.
Conditions to be met to carry out the procedure :

• Be in possession of the access code to the built-in systems interface (written on the customer's confidential card)
• Be in possession of a new engine management ECU
• Use the diagnostic tool

5. Engine management ECU downloading

The engine management ECU software is updated by downloading (ECU fitted with a flash EPROM).

N.B. : This operation is performed using diagnostic equipment.

Download to the engine management ECU (if necessary).

6. Procedures for returning under warranty

Disconnecting the engine management ECU results in it being locked automatically.

CAUTION : If a part is returned under warranty, return the engine management ECU with the access code.
