2. Differential gears

CAUTION : The presence of the minimum thickness adjustment shim under the external bearing cage is essential (6th gear end).

Refit :

• The gearbox casing (2)
• The bolts (3) (one screw out of two); Tighten to 1,8 ± 0,1 daN.m

Fit :

• The tools [14a], [14b], [14c]
• The dial gauge [15]

Rotate the primary shaft a few turns.

Set the dial gauge to zero.

Push the shaft axially, upwards,.

Check the value at 4 points.

CAUTION : The play should be between 0,06 and 0,15 mm.

If the value read on the dial gauge is not correct, repeat the setting.

Adjustment shims between 0,8 and 1,4 mm with a variation of 0,05 mm.

Remove :

• The tools [14a], [14b], [14c], [15]
• The bolts (3)
• The gearbox casing (2)
• The primary shaft (1)
