04/02 to 08/03, from 09/03

Removing

Place the car on the ramp.

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

1. Working from inside the vehicle, remove the protective boot for the handbrake lever.

2. Loosen the adjustment nut for the handbrake cable.

Raise the car.

1. Disconnect the handbrake cable from its seating on the rear caliper.

2. Unscrew the rear caliper mount retaining bolts.

Prise up the caliper complete with rear brake bracket.

1. Unscrew the brake disc retaining pins (1a) and remove brake discs (1b).

All versions

Refitting

Position the rear brake discs and tighten the retaining studs.

Position the brake caliper complete with mount and tighten the bolts securing the caliper mount to the rear axle to torque.

Secure the handbrake cable to the brake caliper.

Lower the vehicle.

Connect the battery negative terminal.

Remove the car from the ramps.
