LOW ENGINE OIL PRESSURE

The warning light indicates a decrease in pressure in the engine lubrication circuit.

0	PRELIMINARY CHECKS	All OK	Problems met	Operation
		Results of the tests
	Preliminarily check: engine oil level operation of the warning light in the panel and the switch Check that the type of oil is suitable for the engine in question	Continue to Step 1	Engine oil level too low	Top up the engine oil level Op. 1084A10
		Continue to Step 1	Faults in the warning light circuit	See table K30
1	ENGINE OIL TYPE AND FILTER CHECK	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Check that the engine oil is the recommended type in the correct quantity Check that the oil filter is the recommended type and that it is correctly fitted	Continue to Step 2	Engine oil unsuitable	Change the engine oil
		Continue to Step 2	Oil filter unsuitable or incorrectly fitted	Replace the engine oil filter Op. 1084B30
2	OIL PUMP CHECK	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Check the condition of the oil pump. In particular check: condition and cleanliness of oil pressure relief valve condition of spring	Continue to Step 3	Oil pump damaged or distorted Pressure relief valve damaged	Replace the oil pump Op. 1084B16
3	LUBRICATION SYSTEM CHECK	All OK	Problems met	Operation

4	MAIN/BIG END BEARINGS CHECK	All OK	Problems met	Operation
