Operation
The headlamps are adjusted electrically, when the main beam lamps are on. The movement is generated by two motor actuators (68-69) mounted directly on the lights clusters. The control (67) is a potentiometer operated via a knob located on the dashboard, which may be set to four different positions, corresponding to four positions that may be assumed by the lights clusters. The wiring diagram shows the connections of the various devices constituting the system.
The system is supplied by a 12 V positive voltage coming from the ignition switch and is protected by the fuse (F5) located on the junction unit (7). The actuator consists of a motor, on which a potentiometric position transducer is mounted, and an electronic control unit.
