Removing-refitting opening window glass (page 2 of 2)

• Remove the trim panel;
• Lift the window glass about half of its travel;
• separate the glass from the window lift mechanism by releasing the clip and withdrawing the pin of the window-lift shoe from the hole in the glass;
• lift the glass by hand to the end of its upward travel and secure it with adhesive tape;
• disconnect the connector from the engine;
• undo the nuts securing the motor;
• undo the nuts on the window lift guide;
• remove the window lift cable clip;
• remove the window lift mechanism by withdrawing it from the door frame.

NOTE Make sure that the glass is in a stable position.

• refit the window lift mechanism by reversing the procedure for removal.
