CD CHANGER NOT WORKING

The CD Changer does not work in any conditions.

The CD Changer receives a direct power supply from and is operated by the CONNECT radio module.

All references to R/R or repair operations and wiring diagrams may be found in the Workshop Manual.

Check that the problem does not stem from improper use.

STEP	OPERATIONS TO BE CARRIED OUT	TEST RESULTS
0	CHECK USING THE EXAMINER	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check, in the system configuration, that the CD Changer is correctly recognized.	Move on to Step 1.	CDs not correctly positioned.	Restore the correct position.
			CD loader faulty.	Restore the operation, if necessary, replace the CD Changer See in Op. 5570T83
			CD Changer not recognized.	Configure the CONNECT correctly using the Examiner.
1	ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Remove the CD Changer from its housing and check the following at the radio connector: - The presence of the power supply positive and earth at the CD Changer. See E4090 NAVIGATOR	End of diagnosis.	No power supply (battery positive) and/or earth defective at the CD Changer.	Move on to Step 2.
2	ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check the following, in order, at the disconnected CD Changer connector: - Continuity/insulation of the wiring between the CONNECT and the CD Changer connector. Presence of music disc reading enablement signals. See E4090 NAVIGATOR	Move on to Step 3.	Wiring faulty.	Repair the connections.
		Move on to Step 3.	Presence of music disc reading enablement signals in the CD Changer.	Replace the CONNECT. Op. 5580P20 CENTRALINA DEL CONNECT - S.R. Italian market: contact TESEO
3	ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	With the CD Changer removed, check the following at the CONNECT connector: - Presence of audio signals from the CD Changer.	Move on to Step 5.	Presence of music disc reading enablement signals in the CD Changer.	Move on to Step 4.
4	ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check the following, in order, at the disconnected CD Changer: - Continuity/insulation of the wiring between the CONNECT and the CD Changer. - Presence of music disc reading enablement signals. See E4090 NAVIGATOR	Move on to Step 5.	Wiring between CD Changer and CONNECT faulty.	Restore the electrical connections.
		Move on to Step 5.	CD Changer faulty.	Replace the CD-Changer. See in Op. 5580P83
5	CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATION	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check that the fault is no longer present.	End of diagnosis.	Fault persists.	Replace the CONNECT. Op. 5580P20 CENTRALINA DEL CONNECT - S.R. Italian market: contact TESEO
