Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section  414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.

  1. Remove the engine upper cover.

3. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s).

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

  1. Initialize the door window motors. For additional information, refer to Section  501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms.

Removal Details

Item 1 : Powertrain control module (PCM) electrical connector

  1. Remove the PCM. For additional information, refer to Section  303-14 Electronic Engine Controls.

Item 10 : Fuel charging wiring harness

  1. Disconnect the fuel charging wiring harness retaining clips from the fuel injection supply manifold and remove the fuel charging wiring harness.
