Fuel Pressure Adaptor

Relief

WARNING:
WARNING:Do not smoke or carry lighted tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel related components. Highly flammable vapors are always present and may ignite. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
WARNING:
WARNING:The fuel system remains pressurized for a long time after the ignition is switched off. The fuel pressure must be relieved before attempting any repairs. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

  1. Remove the air intake hose.

  1. Remove the Schrader valve cap.

  1. WARNING:
    WARNING:Make sure that the tap is turned fully counterclockwise before fitting the fuel pressure adapter to the Schrader valve. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
    Connect the Fuel Pressure adapter to the Schrader valve.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:When relieving the fuel pressure, catch any displaced fuel in a suitable container.
    Turn the tap on the Fuel Pressure adapter slowly clockwise to relieve the fuel pressure.
  1. Remove the Fuel Pressure adapter and install the Schrader valve cap.
