Removal and Installation

Removal

WARNING:
WARNING:Do not smoke or carry lighted tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel related components. Highly flammable vapors are always present and may ignite. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
WARNING:
WARNING:The fuel system remains pressurized for a long time after the ignition is switched off. The fuel pressure must be relieved before attempting any repairs. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.
  1. Relieve the fuel pressure. For additional information, refer to Section  310-00 Fuel System - General Information.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.

  1. Disconnect the fuel filter intake and outlet line connectors. For additional information, refer to Section  310-00 Fuel System - General Information.

  1. Remove the fuel filter.

Installation

    NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure that the ground tag is installed between the clamp and the fuel filter body.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
