Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE:
NOTE:Right-hand drive shown, left-hand drive similar.
  1. Remove the ashtray and cigar lighter bezel.
  1. Remove the audio unit. For additional information, refer to Section  415-01 Audio Unit.

  1. Remove the switch assembly.
    1. Detach the switch assembly.
    1. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the switch assembly.

  1. Detach the heater control panel/audio unit bezel.
    1. Remove the screws
    1. Detach the bezel from the clips.

  1. Disconnect the heater control electrical connectors.

  1. Disconnect the heater vacuum control lines.

  1. Detach the interior temperature sensor.
    1. Depress the tang.
    1. Detach the interior temperature sensor.

  1. Remove the heater control/audio unit bezel.
    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  1. Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel (four clips).

  1. Detach the lamp switch panel.
    1. Remove the screws.
    1. Detach the lamp switch panel from the clips.

  1. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  1. Remove the instrument cluster bezel.
    1. Remove the screws.
    1. Release the clips.
    1. Remove the bezel.

  1. Detach the instrument cluster.
    • Remove the screws

  1. Remove the instrument cluster.
    1. Release the locking tags.
    1. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
