Ford Crown Victoria workshop manuals
Ford Crown Victoria at a glance: 10 manuals, covering 1988 to 2009 models, with engines from 4.6 to 5.8 litres.
About the Crown Victoria
The Crown Victoria was Ford's full-size rear-wheel-drive sedan from 1992 to 2011, with a final export-only run for 2012. It replaced the LTD Crown Victoria and was built on the body-on-frame Panther platform alongside the Mercury Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Car, all at St. Thomas Assembly in Ontario. The Police Interceptor and a long-wheelbase taxi version made it a familiar fleet car for two decades.
What these manuals cover
- 1988: one manual for the earlier LTD Crown Victoria with the 5.8-litre V8. The other 1980s cars are under LTD.
- 1992–1997 (first generation): the rounded "aero" body and the new 4.6-litre SOHC Modular V8, which replaced the old pushrod 5.0.
- 1998–2011 (second generation): restyled to match the Grand Marquis. For 2003 nearly the whole chassis was redesigned, with new suspension and steering, so check which side of 2003 your car is on. Flex-fuel and CNG versions of the 4.6 are included.
Tip: the Mercury Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Car share the same platform and V8, so their manuals of the same year are a good second reference.
