AB6 - Check Dome Lamp Switch Circuit

Read PID DOMESW.
Does PID indicate dome switch ACTIVE?
YES
GO to AB7.
NO
GO to AB8.
AB7 - Check Dome Lamp Switch For Stuck Switch

Disconnect headlamp switch.
-
Read PID DOMESW.
Does PID indicate dome switch active?
YES
REPLACE headlamp switch. RETEST system.
NO
SERVICE circuit 1034 (BK/W) for short to B+. RETEST system.
AB9 - Check Lighting Control Module
-
Turn OFF dome switch.
-
Read PID DOMESW.
Does PID indicate dome switch ACTIVE?
YES
REPLACE lighting control module. RETEST system.
NO
GO to AB9.
AB9 - Check Circuit 88 (BK/W)
-
Disconnect battery negative cable.
-
Disconnect headlamp switch and lighting control module C1 connectors.
-
Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between LCM pin C1-2 and headlamp C2-6.
Is resistance 5 ohms or less?
YES
GO to Ab10.
NO
SERVICE open in circuit 88 (BK/W). RETEST system.
AB10 - Check Circuit 221 (O/W)

Reconnect battery ground cable.
-
Using a voltmeter, measure pin C2-7 circuit 221 (O/W) for voltage.
Is voltage reading B+?
YES
REPLACE headlamp switch.
NO
SERVICE open in circuit 221 (O/W) between fuse and dome lamp switch. RETEST system.
AB11 - Test For Dark Car Enabled

Read the PID CHIMERQ.
Is the tone request enabled?
YES
Note: This circuit has a dual purpose. On police vehicles, it is tied to ground to enable "Dark Car" mode. If the vehicle is a police vehicle,
check with the personnel responsible for vehicle before proceeding. If the vehicle is not a police vehicle or the intent is to re-enable the
courtesy lights, SERVICE circuit 183 (T/Y) to lighting control module for short to ground. After short is corrected, REMOVE and
REAPPLY power to module. RETEST system.
