AC1 - Test System

Open and close any door. Make sure all doors are closed.

Wait 30 seconds.
Are courtesy lamps still on?
YES
GO to AC2.
NO
On vehicles with keyless entry option, GO to AC8. Other vehicles, system is operating normally.
AC2 - Test Dome Lamp Switch

Press dome lamp switch.
Are courtesy lamps still on?
YES
PRESS dome lamp switch a second time. GO to AC3.
NO
System is operating normally.
AC3 - Check Driver Door Ajar Circuit
-
Connect NGS tester or equivalent to DLC.
-
Close driver door.
-
Read PID D_DR_LC.
Does PID indicate driver door open?
YES
SERVICE circuit 867 (DB), for short to ground. CHECK driver door ajar switch for stuck switch. RETEST system.
NO
GO to AC4.
AC4 - Check Passenger Door Ajar Circuits
-
Read PID P_DR_LC.
Does PID indicate a passenger door is open?
YES
SERVICE circuit 627 (BK/O) for short to ground. CHECK passenger interior lamp switch for stuck switch. RETEST system.
NO
GO to AC5.
AC5 - Check For Stuck Dome Lamp Switch

Read LCM PID DOMESW.
Does PID indicate switch on?
YES
SERVICE short to battery in circuit 88 (BK/Y) or stuck switch. RETEST system.
NO
GO to AC6.
AC6 - Check Dome Lamp Switch Operation

Read LCM PID DOMESW.
-
Press and hold dome lamp switch.
Does PID indicate switch active?
