Attachment III - Technical Information
PITMAN ARM SERVICE PROCEDURES
1.
Turn air suspension system off if equipped.
2.
Raise vehicle on a hoist. Make sure wheels are in the straight ahead position.
3.
Visually inspect the pitman arm ball joint seal for damage. If seal is torn or missing, replace the pitman arm. Refer to appropriate Service manual
for pitman arm replacement.
4.
Pull down the centerlink to take any play out of the pitman arm ball joint. See Figure 1.
