About the F-550
The F-550 is the heaviest Super Duty truck, introduced with the range as a chassis cab for the heaviest bodies. It shares its cab and engines with the F-350 and F-450. Ford also built an E-550 van cutaway for 2002 and 2003 that used many F-550 chassis parts.
What these manuals cover
- 2000–2007: the 5.4-litre V8, the 6.8-litre V10, the 7.3 Power Stroke diesel and, from 2003, the 6.0 Power Stroke.
- 2008–2010: the 6.4-litre Power Stroke with twin sequential turbochargers.
- 2011: the 6.7-litre Power Stroke.
Tip: the F-450 manuals of the same years cover the same engines. For the E-550 van, see Econoline.
