Accessory Drive - Accessory Drive Belt—1.8L Endura-DE (Kent) Diesel Fiesta 1996 (08/1995-02/2002)
Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section  414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.

  1. Remove the accessory drive belt.
    1. Loosen the accessory drive belt tensioner retaining bolt.
    1. Loosen the accessory drive belt tensioner adjuster bolt and remove the accessory drive belt.

Installation

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure the accessory drive belt is correctly located on all the pulleys.
    Install the accessory drive belt.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure the total accessory drive belt movement on the longest span is approximately 10mm.
    Tension the accessory drive belt.
    1. Turn the adjuster bolt clockwise to achieve the correct tension.
    1. Tighten the accessory drive belt tensioner pulley retaining bolt.
  1. Lower the vehicle.
  1. Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section  414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.
