Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the air cleaner intake pipe.
    For additional information, refer to Air Cleaner Intake Pipe in this section.
  1. Remove the battery tray. For additional information, refer to Section  414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.

  1. Disconnect the air cleaner outlet pipe.

  1. Disconnect the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor and mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connectors.

  1. Remove the air cleaner cover.

  1. Remove the air cleaner element.

  1. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation hose.

  1. Remove the air cleaner.
    1. Detach the rubber clip.
    1. Remove the air cleaner.

Installation
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
