Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE:
NOTE:The PATS functionality for petrol engine variants with manual transmission is incorporated in the powertrain control module.
NOTE:
NOTE:When fitting a new PATS module the new module must be coded to the immobilizer system. To code the system the red master key must be the first key used after fitting a new module.
NOTE:
NOTE:If the red master key is not the first key used after fitting a new module it will be necessary to code the system, REFER to WDS.
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section  414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.
  1. Remove the cowl side trim panel.

  1. Detach the PATS module.

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the PATS module.

Installation

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:When fitting a new PATS module the new module must be coded to the immobilizer system. To code the system the red master key must be the first key used after fitting a new module, REFER to WDS.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
