Detach the coolant expansion tank from the wheelhouse assembly and position it to one side. - Remove the retaining bolt.
- Release the retaining clip.

NOTE:Note the position of the power steering line to aid installation. Detach the power steering line bracket from the power steering pump mounting bracket. | | -
NOTE:Note the position of the power steering line to aid installation. Detach the power steering line brackets from the cylinder head. | | -

CAUTION:Do not disconnect the power steering pump pressure adapter from the power steering pump. Using the special tool, disconnect the power steering line from the power steering pump pressure adapter. - Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.

Disconnect the power steering pressure (PSP) switch electrical connector. | Left-hand drive vehicles | -
Detach the steering gear return hose from the pressure line. | | -
NOTE:Note the position of the power steering line to aid installation. Detach the power steering line from the steering gear. | Right-hand drive vehicles | -
NOTE:Note the position of the power steering line to aid installation. Detach the power steering line from the steering gear. | All vehicles | -
Disconnect the power steering lines from the steering gear valve body. - Remove the retaining bolt.
- Rotate the clamp plate.

If a new fluid line is being installed, push the new line into the new union until it clips into place. | | -
Using the special tool, install a new O-ring seal onto the power steering line to power steering pump union. - Push the new O-ring seal onto the special tool.
- Locate the special tool onto the union and install the O-ring seal.

Install new O-ring seals onto the power steering lines. | | -
To install, reverse the removal procedure. | | -
