Disconnect the degas hose from the coolant expansion tank. | | -
Detach the coolant expansion tank and secure it to one side. | | -
Detach the wiring harness from the timing belt upper cover. | | -
Remove the timing belt upper cover. | | -
Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector. | | -
NOTE:Only turn the engine in the normal direction of rotation. Rotate the engine until the special tool fits into the hole in the flywheel. | | -
Using the special tool, lock the flywheel. | | -
Remove the crankshaft pulley. - Discard the crankshaft pulley retaining bolt.

Remove the timing belt lower cover. | Installation | -
Install the timing belt lower cover. | | -
NOTE:Install a new crankshaft pulley retaining bolt. Install the crankshaft pulley. | | -
Remove the special tool from the flywheel. | | -
Connect the CKP electrical connector. | | -
Install the timing belt upper cover. | | -
Attach the wiring harness to the timing belt upper cover. | | -
Install the coolant expansion tank. | | -
Connect the degas hose to the coolant expansion tank. | | |
