Rear Suspension - Wheel Spindle Focus 1999 (08/1998-12/2004)
Removal and Installation

Removal

All vehicles
  1. Remove the wheel hub.
    For additional information, refer to Wheel Hub in this section.
Vehicles with anti-lock brakes
  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Do not damage the wheel speed sensor wiring harness or electrical connector.
    Detach the wheel speed sensor wiring harness from the wheel knuckle and floor panel.
    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    1. Detach the clips.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:The wheel speed sensor wiring harness is routed through the wheel knuckle.
    Detach the wheel spindle from the wheel knuckle.

  1. Remove the wheel spindle.
    • Detach the wheel speed sensor.
Vehicles without anti-lock brakes
  1. Remove the wheel spindle.

Installation

CAUTION:
CAUTION:On vehicles equipped with anti-lock brakes, make sure that the wheel speed sensor housing is free from contamination and moisture.
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
