In-vehicle Repair Removal | -
Standard preparatory measures: - Request the radio keycode.
- Note the pre-set radio stations.
- Cut the cable ties if necessary and renew them on installation.

CAUTION:Disconnect the battery ground lead. Remove the air cleaner housing. - Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor multiplug.
- Detach the positive crankcase ventilation hose.
- Disconnect the intake hose.
- Pull out the air cleaner housing from the rubber bushes.

Detach the accelerator cable from the throttle body. - Disconnect the cable.
- Pull off the plastic clip and lay the accelerator cable to one side.

Pull off the vacuum hoses and detach the connector. | | -
Detach the intake manifold (shown on a removed engine). - Unscrew the intake manifold studs on the front side of the engine.
- Unscrew the nine bolts/nuts.

Attach the intake manifold (shown on a removed engine). NOTE:Stud tightening torque = 10 Nm. - Screw in the intake manifold studs.
- Tighten the nine nuts/bolts.

Fit the vacuum hoses and attach the connectors. | | -
Attach the accelerator cable to the throttle body. - Attach the cable.
- Attach the plastic clip and place the accelerator cable to one side.

CAUTION:Connect the battery ground lead. Attach the air cleaner housing. - Press the air cleaner housing into the rubber bushes.
- Connect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor multiplug.
- Attach the positive crankcase ventilation hose.
- Attach the intake hose.

Standard finishing operations: - Store the preset radio stations.
- If necessary, renew the cable ties when installing.
