Removal and Installation

Removal

WARNING:
WARNING:Do not smoke or carry tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel related components. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and can ignite. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
  1. Remove the fuel supply manifold.
    For additional information, refer to Supply Manifold - Fuel in this section.

  1. Remove the fuel injectors from the supply manifold.
    1. Slide the clip to release the injector.
    1. Remove the injector.

  1. Remove and discard the O - ring seals.

Installation

  1. WARNING:
    WARNING:Do not smoke or carry tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel related components. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and can ignite. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
    CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Do not use silicone grease to lubricate O - ring seals as it will block the fuel injectors.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:Install new O - ring seals.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Lubricate the fuel injector O - ring seals with clean engine oil to aid installation.
