In-vehicle Repair Removal CAUTION:Do not touch the electrical connector pins. Electrostatic charge may occur and will cause damage to the mechatronic assembly. | -
Drain the transmission. For additional information, refer to: Transmission Fluid Drain and Refill (307-01B Automatic Transmission/Transaxle - Vehicles With: Automatic Transmission (CFT23), General Procedures). | | -
Disconnect the transmission central electrical connector. | | -
Remove the transmission main electrical connector retaining bolt. | | -
Remove the transmission main electrical connector. - Rotate the transmission main electrical connector counterclockwise.
- Pull the transmission main electrical connector upwards.

Remove the fluid pan and the fluid filter. For additional information, refer to: Transmission Fluid Pan, Gasket and Filter (307-01B Automatic Transmission/Transaxle - Vehicles With: Automatic Transmission (CFT23), In-vehicle Repair). | | -
Disconnect the output shaft speed (OSS) sensor and the mechatronic assembly electrical connectors. | | -
NOTE:Make a note of the position of the mechatronic assembly retaining bolts to aid installation. Remove the mechatronic assembly. | | -
NOTE:Make a note of the position of the mechatronic assembly oil feed tubes to aid installation. Remove the mechatronic assembly oil feed tubes. | Installation CAUTION:Do not touch the electrical connector pins. Electrostatic charge may occur and will cause damage to the mechatronic assembly. | -
NOTE:Clean the mechatronic assembly oil feed tube seals and check them for damage. Install new mechatronic assembly oil feed tube seals as necessary. NOTE:Make sure that the mechatronic assembly oil feed tubes are installed in their original positions. Install the mechatronic assembly oil feed tubes. | | -
NOTE:Make sure that the mechatronic assembly retaining bolts are installed in their original positions. Install the mechatronic assembly. - Tighten the mechatronic assembly retaining bolts in the sequence shown in 2 stages.

Connect the output shaft speed (OSS) sensor and the mechatronic assembly electrical connectors. | | -
Install the fluid pan and the fluid filter. For additional information, refer to: Transmission Fluid Pan, Gasket and Filter (307-01B Automatic Transmission/Transaxle - Vehicles With: Automatic Transmission (CFT23), In-vehicle Repair). | | -
Install the transmission main electrical connector. - Push the transmission main electrical connector downwards.
- Rotate the transmission main electrical connector clockwise.

Install the transmission main electrical connector retaining bolt. | | -
Connect the transmission central electrical connector. | | -
