Aligner, Gearshift Lever

1. Remove the gearshift lever knob, turn it counterclockwise.

2. Detach the trim panel from the floor console.

3. Remove the floor console trim panel.
   • Disconnect the electrical connector.

4. 

   NOTE:Make sure the gearshift mechanism is in the neutral position.
   Detach the gearshift cable and the selector cable from the bracket.
   • Pull the locking mechanism backwards, and turn it counterclockwise.

5. Using the special tool, lock the gearshift lever.
   1. Attach the selector cable (colored blue) to the bracket.

   1. Turn the locking mechanism clockwise to unlock.

   2. Attach the gearshift cable (colored black) to the bracket.

   1. Turn the locking mechanism clockwise to unlock.

6. Remove the special tool.

7. Check the gearshift mechanism adjustment.
   • The gearshift lever must rest in the shift passage between third and fourth gear when in the neutral position.
   • Operate the clutch.
   • Shift into all gears and check for correct gear selection.

8. Install the floor console trim panel.
   • Connect the electrical connector.

9. Attach the trim panel to the floor console.

10. Install the gearshift lever knob, turn it clockwise.
