PINPOINT TEST A : ONE OR BOTH SIDES OF THE PARKING LAMPS ARE INOPERATIVE

A1: DETERMINE THE FAULT CONDITION

Switch on the PARK LIGHT.

Check the parking lamps.

Are all parking lights inoperative?
Yes
No
LH parking light is inoperative: GO to A3.
RH parking light is inoperative: GO to A5.
All parking lights are ok: GO to A7.
A2: CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT THE LIGHT SWITCH

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Light switch C168.

Measure the voltage between light switch, connector C168, pin 15, circuit (RD/YE), harness side and ground.

Is battery voltage indicated?
Yes
CHECK the light switch according to the Component Test attached to the wiring diagrams, if necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
REPAIR the open circuit (RD/YE), between fuse F106 and light switch, by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
A3: DETERMINE THE FAULT CONDITION, LH-SIDE

Switch on the LH PARKING LIGHT.

Check the parking lamps.

Are the LH parking lights illuminated?
Yes
No
A4: CHECK THE CIRCUIT (GY/BK) FOR OPEN, LH-SIDE

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Light switch C168.

Disconnect Multifunction switch C265.

Measure the resistance between between light switch, connector C168, pin 13, circuit (GY/BK), harness side and multifunction switch, connector C265, pin 9, circuit (GY/BK), harness side.

Is the resistance less than 2 ohm?
Yes
CHECK the light switch according to the Component Test attached to the wiring diagrams, if necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
REPAIR the open circuit (GY/BK), between light switch and splice S72, by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
A5: DETERMINE THE FAULT CONDITION, RH-SIDE

Switch on the RH PARKING LIGHT.

Check the parking lamps.

Are the RH parking lights illuminated?
Yes
No
A6: CHECK THE CIRCUIT (GY/RD) FOR OPEN, RH-SIDE

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Light switch C168.
3
Disconnect Multifunction switch C265.

Measure the resistance between between light switch, connector C168, pin 14, circuit (GY/RD), harness side and multifunction switch, connector C265, pin 10, circuit (GY/RD), harness side.

Is the resistance less than 2 ohm?
Yes
CHECK the light switch according to the Component Test attached to the wiring diagrams, if necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
REPAIR the open circuit (GY/RD), between light switch and splice S73, by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
A7: CHECK THE CIRCUITS (GY/BK) AND ( GY/RD) FOR OPEN

Switch on the LH PARKING LIGHT and the RH PARKING LIGHT.

Check the parking lamps.

Are the LH parking lights and RH parking lights inoperative?
Yes
No
LH-side:GO to A9.
RH-side:GO to A10.
A8: CHECK THE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH

Disconnect Multifunction switch C265.
2
CHECK the light switch according to the Component Test attached to the wiring diagrams.

Is the multifunction switch o.K.?
Yes
LOCATE and REPAIR the open in circuit (GY), between ignition switch and multifunction switch, by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
A9: CHECK THE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH, LH-SIDE

Disconnect Multifunction switch C265.
2
CHECK the light switch according to the Component Test attached to the wiring diagrams.

Is the multifunction switch o.K.?
Yes
REPAIR open circuit (GY/BK), between multifunction switch and splice S72, by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
A10: CHECK THE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH, RH-SIDE

Disconnect Multifunction switch C265.
2
CHECK the light switch according to the Component Test attached to the wiring diagrams.

Is the multifunction switch o.K.?
Yes
REPAIR open circuit (GY/RD), between multifunction switch and splice S73, by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
A11: CHECK FUSE F57 (CJB), LH-SIDE
1
Ignition switch in position 0.
2
CHECK Fuse F57 (CJB).
3
Check fuse F57 (5 A).

Is the fuse OK?
Yes
No
INSTALL a new fuse F57 (5 A). TEST the system for normal operation. If the fuse blows again, LOCATE and REPAIR the short circuit by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
A12: CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT FUSE F57 (CJB)

Connect Fuse F57 (CJB).
2
Turn on the LH PARKING LIGHT.
3
Measure the voltage between fuse F57 (5 A) and ground.

Is battery voltage indicated?
Yes
CHECK the CJB, if necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
LOCATE and REPAIR the open, in circuit between splice S72 and fuse F57 (CJB), by using the wiring diagrams. If necessary INSTALL a new CJB. TEST the system for normal operation.
A13: CHECK FUSE F56 (CJB), RH-SIDE
1
Ignition switch in position 0.
2
CHECK Fuse F56 (CJB).
3
Check fuse F56 (5 A).

Is the fuse OK?
Yes
No
INSTALL a new fuse F56 (5 A) and TEST the system for normal operation. If the fuse blows again, LOCATE and REPAIR the short circuit by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
A14: CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT FUSE F56 (CJB)

Connect Fuse F56 (CJB).
2
Turn on the RH PARKING LIGHT.
3
Measure the voltage between fuse F56 (5 A) and ground.

Is battery voltage indicated?
Yes
CHECK the CJB, if necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
LOCATE and REPAIR the open, in circuit between splice S73 and fuse F56 (CJB), by using the wiring diagrams. If necessary INSTALL a new CJB. TEST the system for normal operation.

PINPOINT TEST B : ONE PARKING, REAR OR LICENSE LAMP(S) IS INOPERATIVE

Parking lamp, front, RH-side is inoperative, vehicles with conventional headlamps: GO to B6.
Parking lamp, front, RH-side is inoperative, vehicles with xenon headlamps: GO to B8.
Rear lamp assembly, LH-side is inoperative, vehicle except fixed towbar: GO to B10.
Rear lamp assembly, LH-side is inoperative, vehicle with fixed towbar: GO to B12.
Rear lamp assembly, RH-side is inoperative, vehicle except fixed towbar:GO to B14.
Rear lamp assembly, RH-side is inoperative, vehicle with fixed towbar: GO to B16.
B2: CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT THE HEADLAMP, LH-SIDE

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Headlamp LH-side C194.

Turn on the PARK LIGHT.

Measure the voltage between headlamp left-hand side, connector C194, pin 10, circuit (GY/BK), harness side and ground.

Is battery voltage indicated?
Yes
No
LOCATE and REPAIR the open in circuit(s) between fuse F57 (CJB) and headlamp, by using the wiring diagrams. If necessary INSTALL a new CJB. TEST the system for normal operation.
B3: CHECK THE GROUND CONNECTION OF THE HEADLAMP, LH-SIDE

Measure the resistance between headlamp LH-side, connector C194, pin 4, circuit (BN), harness side and ground.

Is the resistance less than 2 ohms?
Yes
CHECK the headlamp, if necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
LOCATE and REPAIR the open in circuit(s) (BN), between headlamp left-hand side and splice S17 (ground G3), by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
B4: CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT THE XENON HEADLAMP, LH-SIDE

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Headlamp left-hand side C271.
3
Turn on the PARK LIGHT.

Measure the voltage between headlamp LH-side, connector C271, pin 4, circuit (GY/BK), harness side and ground.

Is battery voltage indicated?
Yes
No
LOCATE and REPAIR the open, in circuit(s) between fuse F57 (CJB) and headlamp, by using the wiring diagrams. If necessary INSTALL a new CJB. TEST the system for normal operation.
B5: CHECK THE GROUND CONNECTION OF THE XENON HEADLAMP, LH-SIDE

Measure the resistance between headlamp left-hand side, connector C271, pin 7, circuit (BN), harness side and ground.

Is the resistance less than 2 ohms?
Yes
CHECK the headlamp, if necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
LOCATE and REPAIR the open in circuit(s) (BN), between headlamp and splice S17 (ground G3), by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
B6: CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT THE HEADLAMP, RH-SIDE

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Headlamp right-hand side C195.
3
Turn on the PARK LIGHT.

Measure the voltage between headlamp RH-side, connector C195, pin 10, circuit (GY/RD), harness side and ground.

Is battery voltage indicated?
Yes
No
LOCATE and REPAIR the open in circuit(s) between fuse F56 (CJB) and headlamp, by using the wiring diagrams. If necessary INSTALL a new CJB. TEST the system for normal operation.
B7: CHECK THE GROUND CONNECTION OF THE HEADLAMP, RH-SIDE

Measure the resistance between headlamp RH-side, connector C195, pin 4, circuit (BN), harness side and ground.

Is the resistance less than 2 ohms?
Yes
CHECK the headlamp, if necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
LOCATE and REPAIR the open in circuit(s) (BN), between headlamp right-hand side and splice S177 (ground G4), by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
B8: CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT THE XENON HEADLAMP, RH-SIDE

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Headlamp right-hand side C272.
3
Turn on the PARK LIGHT.

Measure the voltage between headlamp RH-side, connector C272, pin 4, circuit (GY/RD), harness side and ground.

Is battery voltage indicated?
Yes
No
LOCATE and REPAIR the open, in circuit(s) between fuse F56 (CJB) and headlamp, by using the wiring diagrams. If necessary INSTALL a new CJB. TEST the system for normal operation.
B9: CHECK THE GROUND CONNECTION OF THE XENON HEADLAMP, RH-SIDE

Measure the resistance between headlamp right-hand side, connector C272, pin 7, circuit (BN), harness side and ground.

Is the resistance less than 2 ohms?
Yes
CHECK the headlamp, if necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
REPAIR the open circuit(s) (BN), between headlamp and splice S177 (ground G4), by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
B10: CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT THE REAR LAMP ASSEMBLY, LH-SIDE

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Rear lamp assembly LH-side C261.
3
Turn on the PARK LIGHT.

Measure the voltage between rear lamp assembly LH-side, connector C261, pin 1, circuit (GY/WH), harness side and ground.

Is battery voltage indicated?
Yes
No
LOCATE and REPAIR the open in circuit(s) between fuse F57 (CJB) and rear lamp assembly, by using the wiring diagrams. If necessary INSTALL a new CJB. TEST the system for normal operation.
B11: CHECK THE GROUND CONNECTION OF THE REAR LAMP ASSEMBLY, LH-SIDE

Measure the resistance between rear lamp assembly LH-side, connector C261, pin 2, circuit (BN), harness side and ground.

Is the resistance less than 2 ohms?
Yes
CHECK the rear lamp assembly, if necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
LOCATE and REPAIR the open circuit(s), between rear lamp assembly and splice S70 (ground G8), by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
B12: CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT THE REAR LAMP ASSEMBLY, LH-SIDE

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Rear lamp assembly left-hand side C553.

Turn on the PARK LIGHT.

Measure the voltage between rear lamp assembly LH-side, connector C553, pin 1, circuit (GY/BK), harness side and ground.

Is battery voltage indicated?
Yes
No
LOCATE and REPAIR the open in circuit(s) between fuse F57 (CJB) and rear lamp assembly, by using the wiring diagrams. If necessary INSTALL a new CJB. TEST the system for normal operation.
B13: CHECK THE GROUND CONNECTION OF THE REAR LAMP ASSEMBLY, LH-SIDE

Measure the resistance between rear lamp assembly LH-side, connector C553, pin 2, circuit (GN), harness side and ground.

Is the resistance less than 2 ohms?
Yes
CHECK the rear lamp assembly, if necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
LOCATE and REPAIR the open circuit(s), between rear lamp assembly and splice S70 (ground G8), by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
B14: CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT THE REAR LAMP ASSEMBLY, RH-SIDE

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Rear lamp assembly RH-side C262.
3
Turn on the PARK LIGHT.

Measure the voltage between rear lamp assembly RH-side, connector C262, pin 4, circuit (GY/RD), harness side and ground.

Is battery voltage indicated?
Yes
No
LOCATE and REPAIR the open, in circuit(s) between fuse F56 (CJB) and rear lamp assembly, by using the wiring diagrams. If necessary INSTALL a new CJB. TEST the system for normal operation.
B15: CHECK THE GROUND CONNECTION OF THE REAR LAMP ASSEMBLY, RH-SIDE

Measure the resistance between rear lamp assembly RH-side, connector C262, pin 3, circuit (BN), harness side and ground.

Is the resistance less than 2 ohms?
Yes
CHECK the rear lamp assembly, if necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
REPAIR the open circuit(s), between rear lamp assembly and splice S71 (ground G13), by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
B16: CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT THE REAR LAMP ASSEMBLY, RH-SIDE

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Rear lamp assembly RH-side C554.
3
Ignition switch in position II.

Turn on the PARK LIGHT.

Measure the voltage between rear lamp assembly RH-side, connector C554, pin 4, circuit (GY/RD), harness side and ground.

Is battery voltage indicated?
Yes
No
LOCATE and REPAIR the open, in circuit(s) between fuse F56 (CJB) and rear lamp assembly, by using the wiring diagrams. If necessary INSTALL a new CJB. TEST the system for normal operation.
B17: CHECK THE GROUND CONNECTION OF THE REAR LAMP ASSEMBLY, RH-SIDE

Measure the resistance between rear lamp assembly RH-side, connector C554, pin 3, circuit (GN), harness side and ground.

Is the resistance less than 2 ohms?
Yes
CHECK the rear lamp assembly, if necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
REPAIR the open circuit(s), between rear lamp assembly and splice S71 (ground G13), by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
B18: DETERMINE THE FAULT CONDITION OF THE LICENSE PLATE LAMPS

Turn on the PARK LIGHT.
2
Check the license plate lamps.

Are both license plate lamps inoperative?
Yes
No
License plate lamp LH-side is inoperative: GO to B23.
License plate lamp RH-side is inoperative: GO to B24.
B19: CHECK FUSE F28 (CJB)
1
Ignition switch in position 0.
2
CHECK Fuse F28 (CJB).
3
CHECK fuse F28 (3 A).

Is the fuse OK?
Yes
No
INSTALL a new fuse F28 (3 A). TEST the system for normal operation. If the fuse blows again, LOCATE and REPAIR the short circuit by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
B20: CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT FUSE F28 (CJB)

Connect Fuse F28 (CJB).

Ignition switch in position II.
3
Turn on the PARK LIGHT.
4
Measure the voltage between fuse F28 (3 A) and ground.

Is battery voltage indicated?
Yes
No
B21: CHECK THE CIRCUIT BETWEEN LIGHT SWITCH AND FUSE F28 (CJB) FOR OPEN

Disconnect Light switch C168.

Measure the resistance between light switch, connector C168, pin 16, circuit (GY/GN), harness side and fuse F28 (CJB).

Is the resistance less than 2 ohms?
Yes
CHECK the light switch according to the Component Test attached to the wiring diagrams, if necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
LOCATE and REPAIR the open, in circuit(s) between light switch and fuse F28 (CJB), by using the wiring diagrams. If necessary INSTALL a new CJB. TEST the system for normal operation.
B22: CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT THE LICENSE PLATE LAMP LH-SIDE

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect License plate lamp LH-side C501.
3
Ignition switch in position II.

Turn on the PARK LIGHT.

Measure the voltage between license plate lamp LH-side, connector C501, pin 1, circuit (GY/GN), harness side and ground.

Is battery voltage indicated?
Yes
LOCATE and REPAIR the open in circuit(s), between splice S66 and ground point G8, by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
LOCATE and REPAIR the open, in circuit(s) between fuse F28 (CJB) and license plate lamp LH-side, by using the wiring diagrams. If necessary INSTALL a new CJB. TEST the system for normal operation.
B23: CHECK THE GROUND CONNECTION OF THE LICENSE PLATE LAMP LH-SIDE

Ignition switch in position 0.

Measure the resistance between license plate lamp LH-side, connector C501, pin 2, circuit (BN), harness side and ground.

Is the resistance less than 2 ohms?
Yes
CHECK the license plate lamp, if necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
LOCATE and REPAIR the open in circuit (BN), between license plate lamp and splice S66 (ground G8), by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
B24: CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT THE LICENSE PLATE LAMP, RH-SIDE

Disconnect License plate lamp RH-side C502.
2
Turn on the PARK LIGHT.

Measure the voltage between license plate lamp RH-side, connector C502, pin 1, circuit (GY/GN), harness side and ground.

Is battery voltage indicated?
Yes
No
REPAIR the open circuit (GY/GN), between license plate lamp LH-side and license plate lamp RH-side, by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
B25: CHECK THE GROUND CONNECTION OF THE LICENSE PLATE LAMP, RH-SIDE

Measure the resistance between license plate lamp RH-side, connector C502, pin 2, circuit (BN), harness side and ground.

Is the resistance less than 2 ohms?
Yes
CHECK the license plate lamp, if necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
REPAIR the open circuit (BN), between license plate lamp RH-side and splice S66 (ground G8), by using the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.

PINPOINT TEST C : THE PARKING, REAR OR LICENSE LAMPS ARE ON CONTINUOUSLY

C1: CHECK THE SYSTEM BY USING THE WDS

Connect the diagnostic tool.

Check the system by using the WDS.

Are any error-codes (DTC's) indicated?
Yes
WORK through the DTC's, according to the WDS instruction. CLEAR the error memory and TEST the system for normal operation.
No
C2: DETERMINE THE FAULT CONDITION

Ignition switch in position II.

Check the parking, rear and license lamps.

Are the license plate lamps on continuously?
Yes
No
The parking lamps LH-side are on continuously: GO to C3.
The parking lamps RH-side are on continuously: GO to C8.
C3: ISOLATE THE SHORT TO POWER CIRCUIT, LH-SIDE

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Fuse F57 (CJB).

Check the parking lamps LH-side.

Are the parking lamps LH-side on continuously?
Yes
No
C4: ISOLATE THE SHORT TO POWER CIRCUIT, LH-SIDE

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Central Junction Box (CJB) C4, C5.

Ignition switch in position II.

Check the parking lamps LH-side.

Are any parking lamps on continuously?
Yes
Parking lamps, front:GO to C5. Parking lamps, rear: LOCATE and REPAIR the short to power in circuit(s), connected with CJB, connector C4, pin 1, circuit (GY/WH) by using the wiring diagrams. Vehicles with tow bar, CHECK the trailer socket. TEST the system for normal operation
No
CHECK the CJB. IF necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
C5: CHECK THE CJB

Ignition switch in position 0.
2
Disconnect Instrument cluster C170.
3
Ignition switch in position II.

Check the parking lamps LH-side.

Are the parking lamps, front on continuously?
Yes
LOCATE and REPAIR the short to power in circuits, connected with splice S74, by using the wiring diagrams. Vehicles with tow bar, CHECK the trailer socket. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
CHECK the instrument cluster. IF necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
C6: CHECK THE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH, LH-SIDE

Ignition switch in position II.

Connect Fuse F57 (CJB).
3
Disconnect Multifunction switch C265.
4
Check the parking lamps LH-side.

Are the parking lamps LH-side on continuously?
Yes
No
CHECK the multifunction switch according to the Component Test attached to the wiring diagrams, if necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
C7: CHECK THE LIGHT SWITCH, LH-SIDE

Check the parking lamps LH-side.

Are the parking lamps LH-side on continuously?
Yes
LOCATE and REPAIR the short to power in circuits, connected with splice S72, by using the wiring diagrams. If necessary INSTALL a new CJB. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
CHECK the light switch according to the Component Test attached to the wiring diagrams, if necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
C8: ISOLATE THE SHORT TO POWER CIRCUIT, RH-SIDE

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Fuse F56 (CJB).

Check the parking lamps RH-side.

Are the parking lamps RH-side on continuously?
Yes
No
C9: ISOLATE THE SHORT TO POWER CIRCUIT, RH-SIDE

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Central Junction Box (CJB) C4, C5.

Ignition switch in position II.

Check the parking lamps RH-side.

Are any parking lamps on continuously?
Yes
Parking lamps, front:GO to C10. Parking lamps, rear: LOCATE and REPAIR the short to power in circuit(s), connected with CJB, connector C4, pin 3, circuit (GY/RD) by using the wiring diagrams. Vehicles with tow bar, CHECK the trailer socket. TEST the system for normal operation
No
CHECK the CJB. IF necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.

Disconnect Instrument cluster C170.

Ignition switch in position II.

Check the parking lamps RH-side.

Are the parking lamps, front on continuously?
Yes
LOCATE and REPAIR the short to power in circuits, connected with splice S20, by using the wiring diagrams. Vehicles with tow bar, CHECK the trailer socket. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
CHECK the instrument cluster. IF necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
C11: CHECK THE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH, RH-SIDE

Ignition switch in position 0.

Connect Fuse F56 (CJB).

Disconnect Multifunction switch C265.

Ignition switch in position II.

Check the parking lamps RH-side.

Are the parking lamps RH-side on continuously?
Yes
No
CHECK the multifunction switch according to the Component Test attached to the wiring diagrams, if necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
C12: CHECK THE LIGHT SWITCH, RH-SIDE

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Light switch C168.

Check the parking lamps RH-side.

Are the parking lamps RH-side on continuously?
Yes
LOCATE and REPAIR the short to power in circuits, connected with splice S73, by using the wiring diagrams. If necessary INSTALL a new CJB. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
CHECK the light switch according to the Component Test attached to the wiring diagrams, if necessary INSTALL a new one. TEST the system for normal operation.
C13: ISOLATE THE SHORT TO POWER CIRCUIT

Ignition switch in position 0.

Disconnect Fuse F28 (CJB).

Ignition switch in position II.

Check the licence plate lamps.

Are the licence plate lamps on continuously?
Yes
LOCATE and REPAIR the short to power in circuit(s), connected with splice S218, by using the wiring diagrams. If necessary INSTALL a new CJB. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
C14: ISOLATE THE SHORT TO POWER CIRCUIT

Ignition switch in position 0.

Connect Fuse F28 (CJB).

Disconnect Light switch C168.

Ignition switch in position II.

Check the licence plate lamps.

Are the licence plate lamps on continuously?
Yes
LOCATE and REPAIR the short to power in circuit(s), between light switch and fuse F28, by using the wiring diagrams. If necessary INSTALL a new CJB. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
INSTALL a new light switch. TEST the system for normal operation.
