1. Loosen the parking brake cable.

2. Loosen the wheel nuts.

3. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.

4. Remove the wheel.

5. 

   CAUTION:If the dust cap is damaged during removal a new dust cap must be installed.
   Remove the dust cap.

6. 

   CAUTION:Use a socket to remove the wheel hub retaining nut to prevent damage.
   Remove the wheel hub retaining nut.

7. Remove the wheel hub and brake drum assembly.

8. 

   CAUTION:Take care not to damage the wheel hub bore when removing the wheel hub seal.
   Remove the wheel hub seal.

9. Remove the bearings.

10. Using a suitable internal extractor, remove the inner bearing cup.

11. Using a suitable internal extractor, remove the outer bearing cup.

12. Thoroughly clean the wheel hub and brake drum assembly.

   CAUTION:The tapered self-setting roller type rear bearings run in matched cups, (cups and bearings must be from the same supplier).
   

   CAUTION:The bearings are self-setting on assembly and therefore require no subsequent service adjustment.
   

   NOTE:When installing the new cups make sure that the cups abut their respective shoulders.
   Install the new bearing cups.

2. 

   NOTE:Grease the bearing before fitting.
   Install the new inner bearing.

3. Install a new wheel hub seal.
