Remover/Installer, Hose Clamp

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section  414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.

2. Remove the radiator grille.
   1. Detach the clips.
   2. Remove the radiator grille.

3. Secure the air conditioning (A/C) condenser to the hood latch panel.

4. Drain the cooling system.
   For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding in this section.
   

5. Lower the vehicle.

6. Using the special tool, disconnect the coolant hose from the thermostat housing.

7. Using the special tool, disconnect the coolant hose from the radiator.

8. Using the special tool, disconnect the coolant hose from the radiator and detach the ventilation hose.

9. Disconnect the coolant hose from the radiator.

10. Remove the engine undershield (if equipped).

11. Detach the crankshaft pulley splash shield.

12. Detach the power steering pipe and remove the crankshaft pulley splash shield.

13. Using the special tool, disconnect the coolant hose from the radiator.

14. Detach the diode from the radiator support bracket.

15. Disconnect and detach the cooling fan motor resistor electrical connector.

16. Disconnect and detach the cooling fan motor relay electrical connector.

17. Disconnect the cooling fan motor electrical connector.

18. Using the special tool, disconnect the coolant hose from the radiator.

19. Disconnect the cooling fan motor resistor, cooling fan motor and cooling fan motor relay electrical connectors.

20. Detach the cooling fan motor wiring.

21. Remove the A/C condenser upper retaining bolts. (Left-hand upper bolt shown, right-hand similar).

22. Remove the A/C condenser left-hand lower retaining bolt.

23. Remove the A/C condenser right-hand retaining bolt.

24. Remove the radiator support bracket right-hand retaining bolts.

25. Remove the radiator support bracket.

26. Remove the radiator, cooling fan motor and shroud.

27. Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud.
    1. Loosen the cooling fan shroud nuts.
    2. Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud.

28. Using the special tool, remove the coolant hose from the radiator.

29. Remove the radiator left-hand insulators and the cooling fan shroud nut and bolt.

30. Remove the radiator right-hand insulators and the cooling fan shroud nut and bolt.

1. 

   NOTE:Make sure the A/C condenser upper locating tangs are correctly installed into the radiator upper locating brackets.
   To install, reverse the removal procedure.
