Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the front door trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section  501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Do not touch the adhesive surface as re-bonding will be impaired.
    Peel back the watershield.

  1. Detach the front door latch remote control.

  1. Remove the window top run.

  1. Disconnect the door latch actuating rods.

  1. Remove the front door latch and front door latch remote control assembly.

  1. Detach the front door latch actuator wiring harness.

  1. Remove the front door latch and front door latch remote control assembly.
    • Disconnect the front door latch actuator electrical connector.

  1. Remove the front door latch cover retaining screws.

  1. Slide the front door latch cover away from the front door latch.
    • Detach the front door latch cover grommet.

  1. Remove the front door latch actuator.

  1. Detach the front door latch remote control outer cable from the door latch.

  1. Remove the front door latch remote control outer cable from the door latch.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
